We are pleased to provide download links for the Leaders guide for Shirejam. We think we have everything covered that you need to know beforehand to get you started. Your District Sub Camp Chief, will have more details about pitch allocation and any themes or games you will be helping with on Saturday evening.

There is also a site Map showing all areas. Note, that during arrivals/ departures access to the Adventure Zone is not available. Also, attached is a vehicle pass to be displayed in all vehicles. If you require a different vehicle pass these will be provided if approved. All attachments can be freely distributed and printed.

Your wristbands and Leader allocations to help with the programme zones will arrive week commencing 17th June 2019 via the post. Leader allocations will work by including all leaders and young leaders as a total amount, deducting these on a 1:6 ratio for Beavers, 1:8 ratio for Cubs as whole groups, regardless if sections have booked independently. The remaining total up to a value of 45% will be allocated to programme times. We will provide further information and breakdown in your Allocation Packs with your wristbands.

We have a number of traffic marshals to help us on arrivals and departures. We are still looking for helpers for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We would like groups to ask their parents if they would like to volunteer there time in return for a briefing session, fancy hi-viz and free drinks and food for their time helping to marshal traffic. We are after helpers:

  • Friday 4pm to 8pm
  • Saturday 7am to 9am and 5pm to 8pm
  • Sunday 1pm to 7pm


Please could forward this information, or target parents within your group or any persons willing to help us. Any positive responses please email us with details.

Our Create More Chief, Jess has asked if you have any cardboard junk suitable for junk modeling in your hut or home that your could donate to bring them along during set up. You can deposit them in the hub.

We will also be burying a time capsule, so please bring along a spare group badge or name tag to be added to the collection. Again, there will be a drop of box in the hub for these.

You should have all received your invoices. Please check your numbers and make sure you have registered your breakdowns for:
