Roles Available
Shirejam 2023 has a number of roles available and is divided into a number of areas. These are listed below. There is a brief description with each job role and detailed job description linked. If you would rather see the roles as one list please see the full list of roles click here
All roles can be done as a job share and anyone can apply, you don't have to be a leader or member in Scouts Hereford & Worcester.

Support the Camp Chief to lead the successful design and implementation of Shirejam 2022.
Support the County Commissioner and the Camp Chief to provide a balanced, adventurous programme against P.O.R. for up to 4,000 young people against a cost-effective model, that is financially modelled and fit for purpose.
Part of the core team. To support the Camp Chief in the Successful delivery of Shirejam 2022 financial and budgetary requirements. Provide accurate financially models and accounts for Shirejam 2022. Manage finance and booking administrators.
To support the Programme Chief to lead the successful delivery of the Shirejam 2023 programme.
To support the Programme Chief and deputy and deliver a successful Shirejam programme zone.
To support Programme Zone leads in the delivery of a success Shirejam programme zone
Lead a team of kitchens assistants to feed the Shirejam Team and visiting VIPs
Support the chef to feed the Shirejam team and visiting VIPs
Site Communications Managers (x3 Roles)
Control Room Managers operating radios to support the operational running of Shirejam. Working in teams to cover the Incident control log and work closely with Operations, Media and Programme teams.
Liaising with Traffic and Security to aid smooth running of operations on site. Undertake roving patrols if required.
Administer bookings for Shirejam 2023.

Media Team
Working with Scout Content SASU to produce high quality digital photographs and video and support the events social media channels.
Look after our website and support other media creation.
We have a number of roles on the Shirejam team which are also open for young people (Explorer age & up) to apply for too. These roles will give you the opportunity to make an impact in Scouting at a County level while learning how to work with a large team.
Roles include supporting:
- Programmes zones
- Evening activities
- Media team
- Kitchen staff
